It is with broken hearts that we share the sudden passing of our beloved brother, Scott William Barnes. Scott passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 at the age of 41 years.

A life that touches others goes on forever
No farewell words were spoken,
there was no time to say goodbye,
you were gone before we knew it,
and only God knows why.
You may be gone from our sight,
but you will never be gone from our hearts.
We won’t cry because it’s over.
Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
may looking back at memories help comfort us all tomorrow.
If tears could build a stairway,
and memories a lane,
we’d walk right up to heaven
and bring you home again.
You will be deeply missed,
and live on forever in our hearts.
We love you, Scott.
You brought joy,
happiness and laughter to all who met you.
You will be sorely missed.
Loss leaves a heartache no one can heal.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, L.T. Stick Drive, Bay Roberts on Thursday: 3-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M. and Friday: 10:30 A.M.-12 Noon, 2-5 P.M. & 7-8 P.M. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Scott W. Barnes Memorial Fund. The Closing Prayer Service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 8 P.M. from Slade’s Funeral Home, Bay Roberts. Interment will follow at a later date.
