Sandra Borys Obituary
We are very sad to announce the passing of our Mom, Sandra Borys, after a lengthy stay at the Red Deer Hospital, on March 10, 2025 at the age of 75.
She goes to be with her love, Harry, who predeceased her in 2019. She will lovingly be remembered by her sons; Dean (Bonnie) of Blackfalds, Neil (Leann) of Penhold; grandchildren Megan and Logan; sister Phyllis (Richard) Wagar of Wetaskiwin; brother-in-law Roger (Suzanne) of Wetaskiwin; Auntie Millie Miller and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Joe Maciborsky and Martha (Bill) Basnett; mother and father-in-law Steve and Helen Borys; sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Chris Hill, as well as her sister-in-law Gloria Borys.
Mom devoted herself to the love of her life, Harry, for nearly 50 years until his passing. She was always working tirelessly to help run the farm, volunteer in the community and tend to her beautiful gardens.
We would like to add our sincere thanks to Dr. Jim and the nurses and staff of Unit 31 and the I.C.U. at the Red Deer Regional Hospital for their care of Mom.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Chapel in Wetaskiwin, Alberta with viewing and visitation taking place one hour prior to the Service.
Donations in Sandra’s memory are gratefully accepted to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation (8440 112 St NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 2B7).
