It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Greenough 84, of St. Peter’s on July 24, 2025.
Sandra is preceded by her maternal parents, Harry and Alwilda Morrison, husband Doug Greenough, and sister Carole Pelley.
Sandra is survived by her loving sisters, Arlene Pelley(Leonard) Ontario Sheila Foggie (Brevard) Ontario; Melanie (Honey) Carter, Bedford
She was a loving Aunt to Mason Carter (Ashley)Milford, Kelsi Isenor (Kanoa), Devon, Elizabeth Hoo Sang (Mark), Kingston Jamaica, Andrew Pelley (Sam), Ontario, Leigh, Ontario. Andrea Evanoff-Winter (Dave), Alberta; Many Grand Nieces and Nephews, Ethan, Marley, Dalton, Rayna, Akira, Jade, Logan, Dante, Raiden, Kai.
Known for her infectious laugh and the ability to light up any room. Her passion for the environment and animal life, along with her compassionate soul, making the world a better place will continue to inspire us all.
Sandra embodied love and kindness to all, her heart was as vast as the Ocean, with her capacity to care and empathize knew no bounds. When her father Harry was cutting the grass, she would go into the field and take the mice nest out of harm’s way a simple example.
Sandra loved her family and gatherings at the beach house and of course, a good Cape Breton house party. Where many fond memories will be cherished.
Whether she was dragging an extra-large piece of driftwood or shells, rocks, and sea glass home, if you know, you know!
We were lucky to have someone as caring and fun as her. As we bid farewell, we can find solace in the love, laughs, and compassion she instilled in us… a legacy that will continue to live on.
A celebration of Life will be held on July 31, 2025 at 2pm at St. Peter’s United Church, St. Peter’s., Rev. Keith Wiseman officiating.
Bural is at the United Church Cemetery following the celebration of life.
