With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sandra Anne Bowers Lamb on Saturday, February 15th, after a sudden battle with pancreatic cancer. Diagnosed in January, the cancer was too advanced for treatment, and Sandra bravely chose to stop medical interventions in her final days. Surrounded by loved ones, she continued to share her joy and laughter until the end.
Sandra will be deeply missed by her husband of 56 years, Rod, and their children Steven (and his girlfriend Michelle) and Samantha (and her husband Jay), as well as her two grandchildren, Sadie and Milo. She was predeceased by her beloved parents Sam and Vi and her siblings Brenda and Bill. Sandra is also lovingly remembered by her surviving siblings, Wanda, Tammy, and Tracey, along with many other cherished family members and friends.
Sandra’s infectious laugh, bright smile, and love of sparkles will never be forgotten. Her light and warmth touched everyone who knew her. In lieu of a funeral, the family will host a celebration of Sandra’s life in the coming weeks. It will be a gathering filled with potato chips, glitter, laughter, and the love of family and friends—just as Sandra would have wanted.
Though we will miss her dearly, we are comforted knowing that Sandra’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
