It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bud Allen announce his passing on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025 at the Palliative Care Unit, Western Long Term Care at the age of 88 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons, Brent and Craig (Rhonda); three grandchildren, Mark Allen (Vanessa Cullen), Kelsey Allen and Robyn Allen; loving and caring companion, Gertrude Peck and her family; brothers Floyd (Valda deceased), Eric (Joyce deceased); Sisters Eva, Lorrina (Don) and Ann (Herb deceased); sister-in-law Pat Allen; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is predeceased by his wife, Neta, parents Robert and Nellie (Mary Ellen) and brother Fraser.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 1st from 2-4 and 7-9:00 P.M. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street. The funeral service will take place from St. Mary’s Anglican church in Curling on Sunday, March 2nd at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Cynthia Haines Turner officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
A reception celebrating the life of Bud will be held immediately following the service. The family would like to invite everyone to join them.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation, the NL West SPCA or the Alzheimer’s Society.
