Obituary
With great sadness the family of Sadie Carroll announce her passing on Wednesday, March 12th, 2025 at Western Long Term Care, Palliative Care Unit, Corner Brook at the age of 78 years. Leaving to mourn with many loving memories is her son Fabian (Crystal) Carroll. Grandchildren; Tiffany (Damian) Snow, Brandi Stuckless and Brady Carroll. Great grandchildren; Hannah Snow, Nathan Snow, Parker Blanchard, Beckham Hynes and Bellamy Carroll. Her siblings; Stewart (Gertie) Kendall, Effie Giles, Victor (Melita) Kendall, Michael (Louise) Kendall, Jane (Jack) Lushman, Bessie Kendall (Bob Johnston), Truman (Dorothy) Kendall, Kevin (Dorothy) Kendall and Chad (Jennifer) Kendall. Also leaving to mourn are many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
Sadie was predeceased by her husband Clarence Carroll, sisters; Marjorie (Bill) Welsh and Beatrice Rose, brother-in-law Ralph Giles. Parents Lewis and Carrie Kendall and parents-in-law Nina and Ernest Carroll.
Sadie was a member of the Deer Lake Salvation Army Corps for many years. She also attended the Home League and helped out with meal preparation that were taking place at the church. Her one and only son Fabian and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Sadie was born and raised in Ramea and later moved to Deer Lake. She was known for her cooking and baking, especially her cream puffs.
Visitation will be held at Parsons Funeral Home on Sunday, March 16th, 2025 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 17th, 2025 at 2pm at the Salvation Army, Deer Lake with Majors Frank and Rita Pittman officiating. Interment will follow at the Salvation Army section of the Interdenominational Cemetery, Wight’s Rd., Deer Lake.
