It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Das Samuel Packianathan Sabapathy, who passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of February 14, 2025, in his 94th year. He is survived by his wife, Indrany; son Sabesan and daughter-in-law Shanti. He is predeceased by his parents, and his brother Arumuganathan Sabapathy, and sister Jansi Ganeshalingham.
Born and raised in Sri Lanka, he proudly served as the Superintendent of Anti-Leprosy Campaign of Sri Lanka, before retiring and moving to Canada, where he lived the rest of his life.
He will be forever missed by Indrany, Sabesan, Shanti and the rest of his family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visitation Thursday February 20 from 10am until the time of the cremation at 12pm. The visitation will take place in the Magnolia Chapel at St John’s Dixie Cemetery, 737 Dundas Street East in Mississauga at Cawthra.
