Obituary For Rylie Douglas MacKenzie Nepinak
With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, godmother, niece, cousin and friend.
Rylie Douglas MacKenzie Nepinak passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024, in Grande Prairie, AB, at the young age of 19 years.
Rylie was born April 4, 2005, at the Dauphin General Hospital in Dauphin, MB.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her mother Racine Moosetail; sister Amara Moosetail of Grande Prairie; grandparents Vernon and Lenora Nepinak of Pine Creek First Nations; uncles: Vern Jr. (Destiny) of Wpgosis, MB, Keenan and Nevada Nepinak of Pine Creek, MB; aunts Rebecca Henderson (Tyler) of Pine Creek, MB, Holly Young (Dan) of Pine Creek, MB, Patricia (Robert) Chartrand of Grande Prairie, Breann Favel of Porcupine Plain, SK, Skylar Favel of Camperville, MB; godson Carter Favel of Porcupine Plain, SK; as well as best friend and partner Connor Muellers.
Rylie was predeceased by her dad, Bradley Moosetail; paternal great-grandparents Lloyd and Lenora Orvis; Marie and Jonas Nepinak; cousin Jocelyn Bone and Kenneth Neapew.
A Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 3:00 pm with cremation to follow at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 – 107 Ave).
A Celebration of Rylie’s life will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Oliver’s Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made in Rylie’s honor to Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue Association (bandagedpaws.org/donate).
