Power, David “Ryan”- 44, formerly of Mushaboom, with heavy hearts and sadness we the family announce the sudden passing of D. Ryan Power on January 8, 2025 in Ajou University Hospital, South Korea. Born in Sheet Harbour October 22, 1980.After graduating high school Ryan went to St. Marys University, obtaining his degree in Criminology. He worked for several years in retail, as well as a call centre for a short time. Ryan then moved to South Korea 17 years ago to teach and was loved by his Korean family and all of his students who referred to him as Mr. Ryan. He was such a loving and caring soul, his smile would lite up any room he walked into. He could always make you laugh. He loved to travel and his pictures made you feel like you were right there with him.Survived by his Mom, Jane (Teddy), brother Paul (Darlene), niece Miranda, nephew Joel, brother-in-law Jason, many aunts,uncles and cousins, special friends Hyosang Yeo, Matty and Declan and his fur baby Nova. Predeceased by his Dad, David, sisters Tanya Bezanson and Natasha, maternal grandparents Peter & Doreen (Newcombe) MacKinnon, fraternal grandparents Albert & Margaret (Jewers) Power. Special thanks to the doctors in Korea and special friends Ian and Matty. Visitation will take place Monday January 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, with prayers at 7:30 in DS Crowell & Son Funeral Home, 22558 Highway 7, Sheet Harbour N.S.
