THOMPSON: Ruth Ellen – passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe. Ruth Thompson of Port Rowan in her 87th year.
Beloved wife of the late Fred Thompson who predeceased her February 6, 2016. Loving mother of Kim Thompson-Morin of Delhi, Chris & husband Isaac Giesbrecht of Richmond, Jenni & husband Bill Chamberlain and Bill & wife Jane Louise of Charmhaven, Australia. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Cody & Taryn, Jenna, Emily & Anson, Josh, Jeremy & Marley, Rebecca & Blake and by great grandchildren Kaylee, Lily, Mickyla, Kiyanna and Bradley. Also remembered by her step grandchildren Justin & Lisa, Johnny & Karlea, Jessica & Brad, Amanda & Michael and Stacey & Cameron. Dear sister of Teresa & husband George Kapitor of Simcoe and sister-in-law of Roberta Thompson of West Kelowna, B.C.
Predecease by her parents Wilfred & Nellie (Greenaway) Thompson , brother Ron Thompson, son-in-law Dan Magnus.
Relatives and friends will be received in the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front Rd. Port Rowan on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 3-7pm. Funeral Service will be conducted in the Clark Chapel on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00am Interment later in the Fairview Cemetery, Port Rowan.
