Ruby Melva Wells (nee Whiteway)
March 8, 1946 – December 31, 2024
Passed peacefully away at St. Claire’s Mercy Hospital at the age of 78 years.
Predeceased by her parents Douglas and Hilda Whiteway, husband Lawrence Wells (2021), two sons: Lawrence Wells (Jr.) (2023) and Donald Wells (2015).
Leaving to mourn are her two daughters: Connie Marshall (Goulds), Ruby Organ (Derek) (St. John’s), son Wayne Wells (Toronto, Ontario); six grandchildren: Roxann Organ, Dylan Organ, Brandon Organ, Daniel Organ, Erica Organ and Maddyson Marshall, one great grand son Dylan Organ (Jr.) whom she loved dearly. Also leaving to mourn her three sisters: Mae Garland (St. John’s), Phyllis McClendon (Texas), Louise Carr (Texas) and a large circle of nieces and nephews.
Flowers gratefully accepted.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton venue on Friday, January 3rd from 1pm-9pm. A funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Memorial Chapel on Saturday, January 4th at 11:00 am, with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery.
