Surrounded by loved ones at his side at the age of 89 years Roy passed peacefully at HSN in Sudbury on Thursday January 16, 2025.
Predeceased by his wife Rita, and partner Hazel, sons Richard and Bruce. Survived by his older brother Lloyd, and younger sisters Virginia and Anita. Daughter Denise and husband Paul Huffels, son Brian and wife Laurie, son Randall and wife Laurie, daughter Lee-Ann. Grand children Sean, Natalie, Lisa, Kayla, Pamela, Curtis, Sarah, Kelly, Dustin, Zachary.
Great Grandchildren Robyn, Scott, Kenai, Sean Jr, Jayden, Ethan, Charlotte, Annabelle, Levi, Rebecca, Joshua, Eden, Wyatt, Seth, Lorenzo. Great great grandchildren River & Liam. Roy will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends from Sudbury, Elliot Lake, Penage, Florida and Finlandia Village where he resided for the last 5 years.
He always enjoyed playing cards with his circle of friends and family members. A service will be held for family and friends later in the summer.
Roy’s family extends their gratitude and thanks to all his care givers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Finlandia village. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Homes.
