Roy’s Obituary
Jeddry, Roy – Age 86 formerly of Salmon River passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in Villa Acadienne, Meteghan. Born in Salmon River, he was a son of the late Joe and Emma (Doucet) Jeddry.
Roy started his working career in Halifax. He and his wife eventually moved back to Salmon River to take care of his parents. He worked for many years for Clare Electric. He also worked as a boat builder, a carpenter and then as a truck driver in his later years. He was Fire Chief of the Salmon River Fire Department for many years. Roy was a hard worker but on weekends, he could be found at the local bootlegger laughing and chatting with his buddies.
He is survived by his children, Lisa Jeddry, Clare and Lloyd Jeddry, Dayton; grandchildren, Dylan (Sam) Jeddry and Owen Jeddry; great-granddaughter, Emma Jeddry. Roy was the youngest and last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Anne Marie; brothers, George, Wally, Willard, Louis; sisters, Rita, Doris, Clare, Madeleine.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home. A public graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th at 11 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Salmon River with Rev. Hospice Akoffodji officiating.
