We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Roy Griffiths.
Born in Ilford, England then immigrated to Canada in 1966. Married to his dear wife Patricia for 56 years.
Devoted father to Jane Callon (Dean) and Paul Griffiths who will miss him tremendously.
Roy loved to spend time with his cherished granddaughters, Amelia and Katherine. And of course, his grand-pets, Miley & Chloe.
Throughout his life Roy had a passion for classic cars & motorcycles, motorhomes (including vacations to Disney) and he was a race car enthusiast.
Roy loved living on Boblo Island and spent his days riding his golf cart, watching boats go by or sitting on the back porch drinking his coffee, keeping an eye out for bunnies, birds and deer.
Sunday was always a special day when Paul would come to visit and they would cheer on the Detroit Lions together.
Roy worked in automotive sales for 40+ years, the majority with General Motors.
Thank you to friends, family and neighbours/staff on Boblo and a heartfelt thank you to all of the staff at Erie Shores Hospice in Leamington.
As per Roy’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service held. A private family gathering will take place in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, as Roy was an animal lover, a donation to the Humane Society in his name or the Erie Shores Hospice would be appreciated ❤️
