Roy Eicher Obituary
Roy Otto Eicher, age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his residence on Monday, March 10, 2025. Born in Stratford, son of the late David and Helen (Pommer) Eicher. Roy is survived by his true love and best friend of 49 years Betty Jean (Sangster) Pike. Proud father of Paul (Michele) Pike and Sheila (Richard) Brooks. Much loved Papa to Brandon (Missy), Nathan, Rebecca (Mike), Talara (Stacey), Austin (Jacki), Dahlin, Colton, Kian (Richard) and his great grandchildren Payton, Maverick, Tyzon and Kinleigh.
Roy will be fondly remembered by his siblings Shirley Lorentz, Walter (Dianne) Eicher, Jack Eicher, Bob Eicher, Don (Judy) Eicher, Bill (Eleanor)Eicher and brother-in-law Jim Mundt. The Sangster-in-laws; Larry (Loretta) Sangster, Wayne (Barb) Sangster, Diane (Doug) Luckhardt, Ron Sangster and June (Brad) Jacobs have wonderful memories of Roy along with his many nieces and nephews.
Betty Jean would like to sincerely thank Dr. Sean Blaine and all the wonderful nurses that cared for Roy especially Dorrie, Jen and Daniele your compassion will never be forgotten.
Besides his parents, Roy was predeceased by his sister Marlene Mundt, and in-laws Bob Lorentz, Gayle Eicher, Marion (Jim) Walker and Cathy Sangster. Friends and family are invited to Roy’s visitation and funeral service on Wednesday March 19, 2025 from 1:00 pm until the time of his funeral service at 3:00 pm at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford. A reception immediately following the service.
