It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ross Alfred Humby announce his passing on February 2nd, 2025, at the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL, at the age of 62 years.
Leaving to mourn with loving memories are his wife, Marlyce Shangreaux; daughter, Sandi Adams; granddaughter, Hailey Cooper; biological father, Alfred Humby; sisters, Yolanda (Gary) Humby, Estelle Michelin, & Maharla (Jim) White; brother, Thomas “Bozo” Couture; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Ross was predeceased by his parents, Pearl & Gerald White, and biological mother, Rosalie Humby.
Friends and family may visit the United Church in North West River on Tuesday, February 4th, between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.; and Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Happy Valley-Goose Bay that same evening between the hours of 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 5th, at the United Church in North West River, beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Andrew McAuley officiating. Internment will immediately follow at the North West River Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to the North West River Community Centre for a reception following the internment.
In memory of Ross, donations may be made to the Happy Valley-Goose Bay SPCA.
