Roslyn Marie Holmes of Yarmouth passed away January 5,2025 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Yarmouth May 9,1942 she was a daughter to the late Ralph and Thelma (Colquhoun) Martinelli.
Roslyn had a larger-than-life personality, a big heart and very caring. Energetic and loved to shop, calling her daughter everyday to go on a shopping trip. If there is a Walmart or shopping mall in heaven that is where you will find her. She had a strong faith in God and knew one day she would be reunited with him and those gone before her. She enjoyed going to yard sales and singing karaoke. Above all she loved her animals, they were like her children, and she would always make sure they were well taken care of even if it meant she went without.
She is survived by her daughter Debbie Comeau; son Gordie Holmes; grandchildren Chelsee and Lacey Haley, Vanessa Thurston, April Cottreau, Katie and Brittany Holmes; great grandsons Kellan Thurston, Emmett Barry and Luka Holmes; sister Marilyn Goodwin, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Gerald Robert; brothers George, Ralph, Richard and Danny Martinelli.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There will be no service at this time as per request. Memorial donations may be made to Liane Bennett at Storm1999_64@hotmail.com who so graciously is fostering Roslyn’s 6 cats, TNR, SPCA or Animal Shelters in your local area.
