Rosemary DeSimone Obituary
Rosemary passed on February 25, 2025, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre. Over the past years, cancer and time slowly eroded the joy and essence of this proud and beautiful woman.
This did not define Rosemary’s life – she loved Frank, family and her canine pal “Winston”. She retired from Bell Canada and transitioned to international consulting, travelling to the United States, India and Brazil. Hawaii was their favourite vacation destination.
Rosemary and Frank married May 31, 1969, and their romance spanned many decades.
Rosemary was loved: by brothers Eric Buckolz (Elizabeth), Robert Buckolz (Janice), sisters Margaret Wilcox (Don) both deceased, and Joan Buckolz. The list of nieces and nephews who will miss Aunt Rosemary/Auntie Mary is long. As the neighborhood matriarch, she will be missed for her many acts of kindness.
Knowing that Rosemary is reunited with Frank wherever souls meet provides us comfort.
The compassion shown to Rosemary and the family by many professionals (Dr. Garcia, Greg Bourdon, JoAnna Fleury and Erin Peddle) of the North Bay Regional Health Centre eased the pain of saying goodbye. Simply – thank you.
As per Rosemary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. If desired donations to the North Bay Humane Society (North Bay) or the Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by her family. Online condolences can be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com
