Mrs. Rose Burgess, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at the C.K.H.A , in Chatham, at the age of 91 years.
She was born in Belle River, Ontario and was a daughter of the late Ernest and Alma (Rose) Lalonde.
Beloved wife of the late Thomas Burgess (1986). Loving mother and mother-in-law of Debbie (Colin) Parkinson, the late Dan (Connie) Burgess, Guy Burgess, the late Rod (the late Jackie) Burgess, Randy Burgess, Jim (Cheryl) Burgess, Tom (Ruth) Burgess, the late Ray (Mary Ann) Burgess and Chris (Julie) Burgess. Sadly missed by 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her siblings. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Rose was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan and enjoyed 5 pin bowling, up until her 80’s. She loved to spend time canning, gardening and knitting.
Following Rose’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Dutton, Ontario.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice may be left at the funeral home.
