After a long fought battle with cancer, my partner, our friend Roni has passed away. She was the only child of Ford and Audrey Riberdy. I was her devoted friend and companion for over 50 years and will miss her immensely. We created many unforgettable memories and acquired many friends along the way. Traveling around the world by different modes of transportation added an important new dimension to our experience of life. During her career as a teacher with the GECDS she garnered the friendship and admiration of both students and parents. Many of them became a part of her family even to this day. The friends who have shared their lives with both of us over the years will always be a lasting part of our memories and a virtual reminder of a life well lived with no regrets. She could always be counted on to bring the fun to the party.
We wish to thank all the doctors nurses and staff who cared for Ronica at the Cancer Center, 4th floor oncology unit at Met Campus and to the staff at Hospice of Windsor for the great compassionate care that she received.
Donations may be made to The Hospice of Windsor and Es County or Windsor Regional Cancer Centre Foundation.
Following Roni’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
