C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès paisible de Ronald Julien Bilodeau le 14 mars 2025, à l’Hôpital de Timmins et du district. Dans une coïncidence poignante, Ron est décédé à la même date que ses parents, Jeannette (Beauvais) Bilodeau et Étienne Bilodeau, qui ont tragiquement perdu la vie dans un accident de voiture il y a 65 ans. Il les rejoint aujourd’hui, ainsi que ses chères sœurs Monique et Danielle, qui l’ont précédé dans la mort.
En 1966, Ron a quitté Rouyn pour s’installer à Timmins avec sa jeune famille, où il a consacré 28 ans de travail acharné chez Kidd Creek, forgeant des amitiés durables. Il était un mari, un père, un grand-père, un frère et un ami dévoué. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse bien-aimée, Alice (Quevillon) Bilodeau, ainsi que ses enfants, Roch Bilodeau, qui a récemment perdu son épouse Brigitte Sirois, et Line Bilodeau (Marc Aubé).
Ron était un grand-père adoré pour Kyle Bilodeau (Jed), Éric Bilodeau (Sadie), Jeffrey Aubé (Nadia), Bradley Aubé (Braden) et, tout particulièrement, son petit-fils Maxime Aubé (Mya), avec qui il partageait un lien unique.
Il laisse également dans le deuil ses chères sœurs, Yolande Rose de Rouyn-Noranda, Jocelyne Bilodeau de St.-Jérôme et Claude Wilbur (Mike) de St-Eustache, ainsi que ses neveux et nièces, dont son filleul, Alan Rose, qui occupait une place spéciale dans son cœur. Ron avait aussi la chance d’être entouré d’une belle-famille aimante du côté d’Alice, incluant ses beaux-frères et belles-sœurs et leurs familles, qui ont joué un rôle important dans sa vie. Il avait un lien profond avec sa belle-sœur Marielle Mireault, sa nièce adorée Céline Mireault (Roger Lafontaine) et son complice Dylan Lafontaine.
Ron était passionné par la chasse et la pêche, des passe-temps qu’il appréciait particulièrement avec ses meilleurs amis, Roland Leclair et Vic Larocque, ainsi que Moe St.-Jean, Alain Chrétien, Pat Boucher et bien d’autres. Il était un conteur, un homme de plein air et un mentor, transmettant son savoir et son amour de la nature à son petit-fils Maxime, s’assurant ainsi que ses traditions et son expérience se perpétuent.
Sa famille tient à exprimer sa profonde gratitude envers l’infirmière Tina ainsi que l’équipe de Bayshore, qui lui rendait visite chaque semaine avec bienveillance, ainsi qu’aux infirmières compatissantes du service médical B et des soins palliatifs de l’Hôpital de Timmins et du district pour leur soutien dans ses derniers jours.
Conformément aux volontés de Ron, il sera incinéré et aucune cérémonie n’aura lieu. En guise de témoignage, des dons à l’Hôpital de Timmins et du district seraient grandement appréciés. With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Bilodeau on March 14, 2025, at Timmins and District Hospital. In a poignant coincidence, Ron passed on the same date as his parents, Jeannette (Beauvais) Bilodeau and Etienne Bilodeau, who tragically lost their lives in a car accident 65 years ago. He now joins them, along with his beloved sisters, Monique and Danielle, who passed before him.
In 1966, Ron moved from Rouyn to Timmins with his young family, dedicating 28 years of hard work at Kidd Creek, where he formed lifelong friendships. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Alice (Quevillon) Bilodeau, and his children, Roch Bilodeau, who recently lost his wife Brigitte Sirois, and Line Bilodeau (Marc Aubé).
Ron was a cherished grandfather to Kyle Bilodeau (Jed), Eric Bilodeau (Sadie), Jeffrey Aubé (Nadia), Bradley Aubé (Braden), and especially his grandson, Maxime Aubé (Mya) with whom he shared a special bond.
He also leaves behind his dear sisters, Yolande Rose of Rouyn-Noranda, Jocelyne Bilodeau of St.-Jérôme, and Claude Wilbur (Mike) of St-Eustache, as well as his nieces and nephews, including his godson, Alan Rose, whom he held in a special place in his heart. Ron was also blessed with a loving extended family on Alice’s side, including his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their families, who were an important part of his life. He also had a deep bond with his sister-in-law Marielle Mireault, his treasured niece Céline Mireault (Roger Lafontaine), and his buddy Dylan Lafontaine.
Ron had a deep passion for hunting and fishing, pastimes he enjoyed most with his best friends, Roland Leclair and Vic Larocque as well as Moe St.-Jean, Alain Chrétien, Pat Boucher and many others. He was a storyteller, an outdoorsman, and a mentor, passing down his wisdom and love for nature to his grandson Maxime, ensuring that his traditions and experiences would live on.
His family extends heartfelt gratitude to Nurse Tina and the entire Bayshore team, who visited him every week with kindness and care, as well as to the compassionate nurses of Medical B and Palliative Care at Timmins and District Hospital for their support in his final days.
As per Ron’s wishes, cremation will take place, and no services will be held. In remembrance, donations to the Timmins & District Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
