It is with great sadness that the family of Roger Roy, of Middle River, announces his passing on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, with family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Gerald and Olivia (Doucet) Roy.
Roger worked at Brunswick Mines.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Martha (Couture) Roy.
His two daughters: Lisa T. Loubier (Gilles) of Bathurst and Anne-Marie Boissonnault (Marc) of Campbellton.
His grandchildren: Chad Canty of Fredericton and Megan Canty of New Minas, NS.
He was predeceased by a son Paul in 1998.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held on Thursday morning, January 9, 2025 at 10 am from Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, NB.
Donations in memory of Roger may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
