1970-2025
At Hotel-Dieu of St. Joseph Hospital, Perth-Andover, February
24, 2025, Mr. Rodney McCarthy of Grand Falls (Portage) passed away at
the age of 55. He was married to the former Debbie Sirois. Born at
Perth-Andover in 1970, he was a son of the late Ann (Christensen) and
Arnold McCarthy.
Rodney worked as a cashier at the local Walmart for the past
eight years.
Rodney is survived by his wife Debbie, two children, Kylee
Ann McCarthy and Dylan Michael McCarthy (Jessica Witte) and grandchild
on the way, seven brothers, Corey (Ursula) of Toronto, Larry of
Calgary, Alberta, Troy (Joan) of Toronto, Patrick of Quebec City, Todd
of Toronto, Tony of Saint-André and Jody (Enas) of Tailand,
as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ann and Arnold,
grandparents, Leoma and Nellie McCarthy, Neils and Chara Christensen,
as well as aunts and uncles, including special uncle Bernard
McCarthy.
Resting at O’Regan’s Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd.,
Grand Falls with visiting hours on Monday March 3,
2025 ONLY.
His funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday,
March 4th at 11:00 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in
Grand Falls (Portage) with Father Gilbert Doddatto officiating.
Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery at a later
date.
