SCOBIE, Robert Lindop
Peacefully at his residence in Port Franks, Ontario on Tuesday February 11, 2025, Bob passed away at the age of 85 years.
After Bob graduated from Central High School in London Ontario, he went on to study English at Mount Allison University. After graduating in 1969 with an Honours Bachelor’s in English, Bob went onto a successful career as a Teacher Librarian for the Kitchener Waterloo Board of Education at Forest Heights Collegiate in Kitchener, Ontario.
Beloved brother of James Scobie, and Janet Rothney (Don). Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Joan Sparks (2012), Iris Scobie (2014), Carol Carter (2020), brother-in-law’s Ken Carter (1994), Evan Sparks (2015), and sister-in-law Rose Scobie (2016).
A Requiem Eucharist will be held for Bob at St. Johns by the Lake Anglican Church, 70642 Ontario St N, Grand Bend on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, at 11:00am with the celebrant the Rev. Karen Nelles. Cremation has already taken place. Memorial donations to St. Johns by the Lake Anglican Church are gratefully acknowledged. Share a memory or condolence at www.forestfuneralhome.com
