In loving memory ~
On February 5th, 2025, mom lost her brief battle with colon cancer. Pretty sure dad was sitting in a hot rod waiting to welcome her into his arms.
She was born October 12, 1943 in Trail BC to Robert and Jean Robison.
In 1947, the family moved to Duncan. Throughout her years, she lived in the Cowichan Valley, except for a short time when she moved to Nanaimo to work at BC Tel.
In 1965, she married the love of her life, Bruce. They settled in Shawnigan Lake where they raised their 3 children. She was a stay-at-home mom for most of their early married years until the kids were a little older and then she worked as a part-time cashier where she loved the social aspect of that and loved her customers. In 2014, mom and dad moved to Crofton where they had a home built for them with a beautiful ocean view that they enjoyed looking at in the evening while they had their cold beers.
In their early years, they made many great memories, usually at the dragstrips, Van Isle and San Cobble.
In the later years, they enjoyed going south to Arizona in their 5th wheel with many close friends/family and meeting many new friends there. Closer to home, mom enjoyed camping, attending car shows, the casino and anything that involved being with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband Bruce in 2020, whom she has missed immensely for almost 5 years. Also predeceased by her father and mother, Robert and Jean Robison.
Robbie leaves behind her son Bruce Jr (Sandra) daughters Shelly and Tracy (Dan). Grandchildren whom she adored Chris, Dillon, Britni (Ryan), Alicia (David) and Caden. She also leaves behind 4 great-grandchildren Hunter, Remington, Maya and Kane. She also leaves behind her sister Sandy and her best friend Maureen, plus so many more amazing relatives and special friends.
The family would like to thank Dr Grymaloski for all his care, plus all the other doctors and nurses at Cowichan District Hospital and Royal Jubilee Hospital.
Celebration of life to be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
