With heavy hearts we announce the passing of a father, papa, brother, cousin, uncle and friend.
Rob was born in March of 1956 to Dan and Gerry Hoyt.
Born on the prairies, Rob found his forever home after moving to the Cowichan Valley as a child. He had a passion for the island and all its wonders which he didn’t see the need to venture from. He loved the magic of the ocean, river and forests and all that those places held.
Rob is survived by two children – Danielle and her daughter Makenna and Brenton and his children Kashton and Lola. He also leaves behind sisters Terry and Susan and brother George and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Dan and Gerry and sister Danita.
If anyone so chooses the family would welcome donations on behalf of Rob to:
Canadian Mental Health Association – Cowichan Valley.
