It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing on Saturday, March 8th, 2025 at the Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook in his 79th year. Robert leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 25 years Joan (nee Parsons).His children Kimberley Payne and Robert Pittman Jr. and step-son Larry Barnes.Grandchildren Jason, Kristina, MacKenzie, Emma,Avery, Madison, Hailey and Aiden. Two great-grandchildren Jaida and Kayden. His siblings Lloyd (Pearl), George (Jeanette), Perley ( Joyce ) and Rowena Barnes. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews ,relatives and many friends he have made over the years, especially one of his best friends Fred Bennett ( Hilda ), and Monty Gilliam ( Jan ).
Robert is predeceased by his parents Sidney & Lillian Pittman and sister Meta Metcalf, parents-in-law Gilbert & Doris Parsons, brother-in-law and wife William & Katie Parsons.
Visitation will take place from the Anglican Church in Summerside, Nl. on Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. where also the funeral service will take place on Wednesday, at 11:00 am with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating.
By request of Robert cremation will take place following the service.
As expressions of sympathy donations may be made in Robert’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, Deer Lake.
