Doan, Robert “Bob” (Major Retired)… Passed away at the Prince Edward County Memorial on Thursday, January 23, 2025 in his 100th year. Beloved husband to Norma Doan formerly Norma Tegart (nee McCracken) of Trenton. Dear father to Beverley Gummer (William) of Edmonton, AB, Marilyn Llewellyn (Pete) of Calgary, AB, Douglas Doan (Lynn) of Yellowknife, NWT and step father to Kim Willadsen (Rett) of Trenton and Shannon Tegart of North Bay. Dear grandfather to his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother of Calvin Doan (Marie) of Newmarket and Helen Gibson (Tim) of Toronto. Bob is retired from the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in many parts of the world. He was very involved in his community being a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Air Force Association, Past President of both the Air Force Wing 415 of Canada and FSNA Trenton followed by many years with the Canadian Air Force Cadet program. He was also involved with the National Air Force Museum of Canada and member of the Trenton Curling Club. His legacy will be ever remembered by his family and friends. At Bob’s request cremation will be taking place. Royal Canadian Legion Service and Memorial service will be held at the Weaver Family Funeral Home, 29 Bay Street, Trenton on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 am then followed by a reception for family and friends to visit. Interment at St.George’s Cemetery will be take place at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the National Air Force Museum of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
