Robert Charles Joseph Hess
Robert “Bob” Hess of South Dundas passed peacefully at Winchester District Memorial Hospital January 2, 2025, age 76, surrounded by family.
Loving husband of Cathie (nee McGuire). Cherished father of Bren (Lee) Gray of Okotoks, Alberta, Michael (Natalie) Hess of Cornwall, and Jonathan (Jamie) Robinson of Cornwall. Fun filled grandfather of Dylan, Abbey and Thomas, Jesse and Kevin, and Dylan and Ryley. Dear brother to Jim (Kelly) Hess, Douglas Hess, and Ruth (Glen) Liscumb. He was predeceased by his father Carl Hess and his mother Grace Flegg, his son-in-law Michael Gray, his brother Timothy Hess, and father-in-law Melville McGuire.
Bob will forever be remembered as a husband, dad, grandpa, brother, friend, hunter, fisherman, and all-around outdoorsman who was happiest in a tree stand or on the water with a lure and a line.
Funeral Arrangements
Friends are welcome to join the family for an Irish wake to raise a glass and share a story to commemorate Bob on January 10, 2025, at Royal Canadian Legion in Chesterville from 2-6 p.m. Cash bar available.
