Ricky “Rick” George Leary
June 23, 1954 – February 10, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband of 46 years to Heather Leary (nee White). Loving Dad to Jared and Josh, adoring Poppa to Clara. Remembered by Valerie Chassé. Predeceased by his parents George Leary and Lois Wellstood, as well as by his siblings Ronnie, Louise, Annie, and Margie. Rick is survived by his siblings Jim (Barb), Wilma, Emily, and Gerry (Tammy); his brother-in-law Brian (Janice), sisters-in-law Heather (the late Blair), and Judy (Gerry). He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Rick was a master mechanic and a true CHEVY guy. He was well known in the classic car and Hot Rod community. He will be forever missed.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Barker Funeral Home (19 McArthur Ave, Carleton Place) on Friday February 28, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation or the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
