Obituary of Richard Wayne Stone
STONE: Richard Wayne
Passed away at Quinte Health North Hastings Hospital, Bancroft on Friday March 14, 2025. Richard Stone of Peterborough in his 78th year. Richard worked for many years in the shipping department of Beaver Lumber and also worked for various companies in the area. He enjoyed his morning coffee group at Tim Horton’s and in his spare time he loved to hunt and assist with coaching baseball and Boy Scouts. He is loved and missed by his wife of 51 years, Shiela (nee Peters). Also missed by his daughter Sherri Beardsley (Tyson Turner), son Michael Stone (Kendra Tennant) and grandchildren Bradley Beardsley (Gianna Moore), Samantha Slyford, Quinn Stone, Rory Stone and Charleigh Stone. Lovingly remembered by his brother Barry Stone (Lynda Ouellette), sister Carol Ann Wilson (Lorne), sister-in-law Linda Peters and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Elwood and Ellen and brother Raymond. A funeral service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Thursday March 20, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Visitation two hours prior to the service. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the funeral home.
