Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Bluewater Health, Richard William Rule passed away at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Anne Rule. Loving father of Andrea Rule, Kathleen Parker, and Kristina (Steve) Robinson. Cherished grandfather of Kaleb Robinson. Dear brother-in-law of Ron Chappell. Predeceased by his parents Raymond and Donna Rule, and by his sister, Sharon Chappell. He will be dearly missed by his loving companion, his dog Maggie.
Richard was active in his community, being a proud member of the Moore Lodge and the Lambton County Radio Club, where he enjoyed connecting with others who shared similar interests. One of the places he gave a lot of his time was at Southwest Regional Credit Union Ltd., where he served as a board member for many years. Richard retired from Imperial Oil after 36 years as an Instrumentation Technician. Cremation has taken place.
In keeping with Richard’s wishes, no services will be held. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
