Richard Lynn “Dick” Gillespie ~ age 86, passed away on February 9th, 2025. Dick was born on November 22nd, 1938, in Vancouver, BC. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; children, Helen; Bonnie (Bill); Roy (Carolyn); Richard (Karen); eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Bill; sister, Tara “Deb” (Jerry). Dick proudly served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 28 years. Upon retirement from the Air Force, Dick worked as a custodian for 14 years with AVRSB. Dick spent many years refereeing basketball in the community and was an avid fan of local sports. He was predeceased by parents Roy and Jean (Anderson) Gillespie. As per request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free: 1-855-825-3448.
