It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Lucien Auclair at the Timmins and District Hospital, on Wednesday, February 19th at the age of 69 years. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family.
Rick was born on June 7, 1955, to Patrick and Giselle Auclair of Timmins. He was one of 6 children and shared a close bond with his siblings. The highlight of his youth was his passion for sports, where he earned a reputation for his remarkable athleticism and competitive spirit. At 28, Rick became a father to his firstborn daughter, and five years later, he welcomed his second daughter into the world. Later in life, Rick was blessed with two granddaughters, and took every opportunity to cheer them on and spoil them. He loved his family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them.
After starting his family, Rick pursued a degree in business, which laid the foundation for a successful entrepreneurial career. As the proud owner of Pasadena Fitness and Industrial Delivery, Rick dedicated himself to his work, achieving notable success in both ventures.
Rick was known for his great sense of humor, outgoing nature and his generosity. He was always willing to lend a hand or share a laugh with friends. He was a lifelong sports fan and car enthusiast who never missed a big game and could talk sports for hours. He loved attending drag races with his cherished sports car, relishing the thrill of the race and enjoying the competitive atmosphere. Whether it was cheering for his favorite teams or taking long drives, Rick found joy in these passions.
Rick was predeceased by his mother, Giselle, and his father, Patrick. He leaves behind his daughters Erin (Sean) and Lauren (Yvan), as well as his cherished granddaughters Everlie and Sienna. He is also survived by his brothers Ray (Liza), Mike (Leslie), and Gilles; his sisters Kathleen and Denise; and many cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss him deeply.
A celebration of life will be held at Social Venue, 27 Maple St S, Timmins P4N 1C3 on Monday, February 24th from 11:00am – 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Timmins and District Hospital Hospice Centre, in appreciation of the care provided. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins, ON.
