Richard “Rick” Dupuis
55 Years
Who passed away on Thursday, March 6th, 2025.
He will be missed by his best friend and the love of his life, Susan Patrakka-Dupuis. Cherished father of Nicholas and Dylan. Rick was born on August 4, 1969 to Fern Dupuis (predeceased) and his wife Estelle (Cayen). He is survived by his mother Estelle, brothers Gilles (Josee), Denis, and his sister Colette (Stuart) and predeceased by Dan (Susan). They will all miss him dearly. Rick will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, in-law family, relatives and friends.
Rick was a family man. He loved his children with his entire heart and was the proudest father. He loved being around Nicholas and Dylan no matter what they were doing together. They were his proudest accomplishment. His wife Susan truly was his best friend and love of his life. They were both happiest when they were together. Family was everything to him.
Laforest was a second home for Rick and it’s where he became the outdoors loving person he was. He loved to hunt, fish, quad and snowmobile. He was a devoted Vale employee for 29 years at Garson Mine.
He will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, awesome dance moves and loving friendly nature. Anyone who knew him, knew that he came with his own vocabulary, those closest to him referred to as the Ricky dictionary.
He will be greatly missed by many family and friends who were always welcome to come listen to some tunes in his garage while enjoying a cold beverage and some good laughs.
A Private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Family Education Trust fund would be appreciated.
