Passed peacefully on December 31st, 2024 after a brief illness.
Richard is now reunited with his beloved wife, Jill (December 2011). He was a husband, father, lifelong learner, amateur historian, photographer, avid Windsor Spitfire fan and a man filled with great strength, wit and wisdom. Richard proudly worked for A&P for over 40 years and in retirement enjoyed participating in many Elder College and Life After 50 programs and discussions. He maintained a strong desire to continue his learning while also sharing his vast knowledge of many historical events.
Richard will be remembered and most missed by his daughter Trish and son-in-law Patrick. His common sense attitude, sage advice and big heart will always remind us that no matter what happens, to believe there are better days ahead.
Richard’s life will be honoured privately, without holding a public service or gathering. A burial has taken place at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
