Ernest REX Isaac, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, February 14, 2025 at the age of 55. Rex is the son of Kathryn (Sands) Isaac and the late Ernest Isaac. Beloved father of Zaagadwin, Minonaagwan, Colin, Gavin, Melissa and Leonard. Dear brother of Jeffery (Stacey) and the late Daniel (Rianne). Rex will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Rex had served on Band Council for Walpole Island First Nation, was the NDP Candidate in the 2015 federal election and had belonged to Pipefitters UA Local 636. Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Tuesday from 2-4 pm for family and 6-8 pm for the community. The funeral will be celebrated at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Wednesday, February 19 at 1 pm. Interment to follow at Highbanks Cemetery.
