Reina Lynn Campbell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Reina Lynn Campbell. She passed away suddenly and very unexpectedly in her home on the 5th of March, 2025. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband Lynn Campbell in 2022, her father John Bissett in 1986 and her amazing mother, Florence Bissett, who passed just a few days shy of her 105th birthday in December 2023.
Reina was a loving and caring person who devoted her entire adult life to helping, teaching and caring for others. Following her desire to help others, she graduated from Dalhousie University with her Registered Nursing Degree. and then moved to Kingston, Ontario in 1987 to teach nursing at St. Lawrence College. She was extremely knowledgeable and gifted with the ability to relate and teach young nursing students. She touched many lives in a positive way and was often recognized for her work ethic and dedication by the college and the hospitals.
Reina’s job knowledge and skill was put to the test again when her husband Lynn received a double lung transplant in 2011. She took excellent care of him and they both became supportive and energetic members of the Transplant Advocate Association.
Family was extremely important to Reina and her memory will be forever cherished by her many cousins, nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Celebration of Reina’s Life will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the James Reid Funeral Home Reception and Celebration Centre (1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston). Words of Remembrance at 3:00 pm. Please enter through the Reception Centre doors at the rear of the building.
If desired, in honour of Reina, memorial donations may be made to the Transplant Advocate Association or the Kingston Humane Society.
