It is with deep sadness we announce the
passing of Reginald James Burnett, age
73, of Amherst, NS. Reg passed away at home on Thursday,
February 13, 2025.
Born in Strathcona, he was a son of the
late Reginald Burnett Senior and Mary (McGilchrist) Burnett
Betts.
Reg frequented Tim Hortons where he
enjoyed chatting with friends and watching the world go by.
He enjoyed his Old Westerns on television. Despite being a
fairly private person, he was faithful to his almost nightly calls
with his sisters.
Reg will be dearly missed by his sisters
Janet Godfrey, Brooklyn, Queens County, NS, and Darlene Fisher, Truro,
as well as his brothers David (Brenda), Lower Sackville, and Bernie,
Truro, in addition to his many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church
Street, Amherst, NS (902 667-8777). Cremation has taken
place. In keeping with Reg’s wishes, there will be no
services.
Those wishing to make a donation in
memory of Reginald may do so to a charity of your
choice.
