The family announces with sorrow his passing on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 93 years. Predeceased by his wife Rose-May Savord (née Sicard) in 2016. Dear father of Linda Savord-Fortin (Martial), Marie-Anne Gemme (René) and Joanne Newbatt (late Ivan). Loving grandfather of Diane, Luc, Eric, Nicole (Rick), Denis, Julie, Richard and Lianne and great grandfather of Tiffany, Keagan, Chase, Faith, Dakota, Sierra, Alexia and Zachary. Dear brother of Armand Savord (Claudette), Aimé Savord (Colette), Rollande Vien (Paul), Ernest Savord (late Claudette), Laurette Groulx (late Ronald), Léa Melanson (late Marcel) and Hélène Joron (Philippe). Predeceased by his son Ronald Savord (Carole Gagnon), his brothers Laurent and Réal Savord and his sisters Irene Mathieu, Yvette Brisson, Pauline Joron and Simone Mathieu. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. A memorial Mass will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 2:00pm at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Church. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 24, 2025 starting at 1:00pm at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Church.
