Hart, Raymond Fraser – Age 76 of Kemptown passed away peacefully at home April 1, 2025, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Guysborough, and raised in Boylston, he was a son of the late Carl and Jean (Fraser) Hart. After leaving home, he moved to Dartmouth and worked for several years with Grinnell Sales before relocating to Onslow and then eventually Kemptown. Ray worked at the Home Hardware Distribution Centre in Debert for more than thirty years before retiring.
Ray leaves behind his beloved wife, Donna; his children, Todd, Rocky (Carin), and Kimberly (Reg); his grandchildren, Darin, Warren, RJ, Sarah, Colin and Dennis; and great-grandson, Grayson. He is also survived by his sister, Joyce (Leaman) and brothers, Bill (Joy) and Charlie (Denise) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Betty (Ralph).
Ray was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He loved his Montreal Canadians and a good game of grip. He was a jack of all trades and there wasn’t much he couldn’t fix. He was always tinkering in his garage or working in the yard. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Special thanks to his doctor Amanda Webster, the Cancer and Palliative Care teams, VON, and the Red Cross for his care. As sick as he was, he would always say, “I can’t complain.”
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative.
Donations to Pancreatic Cancer Canada would be appreciated.
