Obituary of Ray DuFour
Following a brief but valiant struggle, Ray passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025. Ray was predeceased by his wife Patricia in 1988. Sadly, missed by his long-time companion, Phyllis (Moe) Sokol and her family. He is survived by his daughter Denise and her husband Kevin Kading. Sadly, Ray’s youngest daughter Lianne DuFour won the race, and beat him to the gates 13 days earlier on February 18th, 2025. Ray leaves behind his grandchildren Alanna MacBride (Kevin Furtado), Trent Kading (Diana Wood), and Ethan Kading (deceased 2020) and 2 great-grandchildren Adalynn and Xavier Furtado.
Ray was a longtime retired employee of Firestone. Also left to mourn is Ray’s longtime friend of 69 years, John Stewart and his family. We can only imagine the re-union going on.
