Ralph Johnson Obituary
It is with great sadness that after a courageous battle with cancer, the family announces the passing of Ralph Colpitts Johnson on February 17, 2025 at Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John. Born on August 22, 1940 in Saint John, he is the son of the late Ralph and Elmyra (Fillmore) Johnson. Ralph worked at GE Barbours, Canada Packers, Kimberly-Clark and then retired from Clow Canada in 2005.
He was an avid gardener, bowler, hunter, walker and blood donor. He will be missed by all who loved him. Ralph is survived by his wife Sharon of 59 years, daughters Sheryl Ross (Paul), Nancy Lacelle (Sean), brother Allie (Jeanette) and sister Shirley Hopey. He was the proud Papa of Brittany Johnson-Ross and Samantha Harris (Tom). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Della White, Bessie White, Rita Weston, Winnie Ross, Annie Chambers and brothers Irvine, Eddie and Billy. The family would like to thank Dr. Jock Corless for the many years of excellent care, Dr. Abbas Mokhtari, Dr. Elizabeth Zed and the Oncology Dept at the Saint John Regional Hospital, the extra mural team and Dr. Chris Mackin as well as the excellent staff at Bobby’s Hospice for their very compassionate care.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). Family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 22 from 3-7 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel on Sunday, February 23 at 1:00 PM. For those who wish, donations in Ralph’s memory may be made to Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John.
