It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Marianthi Pitsakis Giannoumis, who took her last breath January 19, 2025, at the Lakeshore General hospital. She was 87.
She was the beloved wife of the late Evangelos Giannoumis, and the loving mother of John (Maria), George (Toula) and Maria.
In addition to her children, she is survived by her grandchildren, Valerie, Despina, Evan, Katerina, Niko (Sarris), Evan-Peter, Evangelia (Sarris), and great-grandchildren, Leonardo (Renzelli), Miles (Good), and Elijah John.
She is also survived by her remaining siblings in Greece, John (Angela), and Athina Kyriakodi, as well as her beloved nieces and nephews.
As our family’s matriarch, Marianthi dedicated her life to nurturing those around her, always offering wisdom and unconditional love. Her strength and compassion left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her love will forever remain in our hearts.
Funeral Services:
The family will receive condolences at Voluntas Funeral Home, located at 4695 St Jean blvd, DDO, QC, H9H2A7, on Monday January 27, 2025, from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at St Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, located at 20 Brunswick Blvd, DDO, QC, H9R 5P9 on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish, donations can be made in her name to Lakeshore General Hospital, Department of Oncology.
