Phyllis Single Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Lydia Single on March 19th, 2025. Phyllis passed away peacefully surrounded by family.
Phyllis is survived by her husband Frank Single, sister Gail Doucette, daughter Joanne Briand (Dana Briand), granddaughters Samantha Clarke (Nathan Clarke) and Leanne Macpherson (Jakob Macpherson), great grandchildren whom she adored, Jackson, Layla & Liam.
She is predeceased by her mother (Ethel), father (Bernard), three brothers (Stanley, Leslie, Mildon) and two sisters (Vertilee, Honey).
Phyllis was loved by so many for her kindness and pure heart. Her love of animals was apparent, and she generously supported the Humane Society for over forty years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a local branch of the Humane Society, animal rescue or to the Alzheimer’s Society who played a pivotal role in supporting Phyllis and her family in recent years. Phyllis will be dearly missed by her large extended family and friends.
A special thanks to the wonderful nurses and caregivers that helped Phyllis live her last days with care and dignity.
As per her request, there will be no viewing or funeral. A celebration of life will be held for family members at a later date.
The sun has set for the earthly body of a beautiful soul, only to be reborn and bathed in God’s eternal light.
