Early in the morning of January 6, 2025, Phillip (Edgar) Jensen passed at the age of 88, after a lengthy battle with heart disease.
Phillip was born in Three Brooks , NB on June 17, 1936. He was a much loved son of Evangeline Mary (Edgar) Jensen and Ole Christian Jensen. He was predeceased by his sisters, Erna (Reid) Campbell and Mary Lou (Lloyd) Bradford.
Phill is lovingly remembered by his son, Pete Jensen (Cheryl Nowe Jensen) and his daughter; Lisa Jensen Jones (Andy Jones). He was predeceased by his son, Stephen Phillip in 1977 and Christian Eric in 2010. He is also survived by grandchildren; Ted Jones (Megan Young Jones), Kate Michaud, Steve Jensen (Jenna O’Keefe), Jess Kenny (Alex), Khryspn Jensen (Kevin). He also leaves behind 10 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate and valedictorian of the Maritime Forest Ranges School which led him to working many years in the lumber industry. Also, he was an accomplished and generous business owner, finishing his career of Atlantic Mack Inc.
Phill was a Mr. ”Go Big or Stay Home” kind of guy, he loved to put on a big spread and fill his table with family and friends. Nothing made him happier than to have his house filled with love and laughter, good food and wine.
His generous heart was always there and willing to help all those who needed him. His last home was in an apartment building of retired folks – he knew all of them by the end of his first few weeks. He enjoyed his bridge, crib and 45 card playing friends and loved to spoil them at pot luck gatherings with plenty of chicken wings. He was a favourite there.
We will be hosting a Celebration of his life this Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 2 pm at the Fredericton City Club, 30 Trius Drive @ 830 Hanwell Road. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society. Personal condolences may be offer through www.yorkfh.com.
