Obituary of Philip Harris
A resident of Muikirk, Philip Harris passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 74.
He was the son of the late Leonard & Molly (nee Richardson) Harris.
Phil will be lovingly remembered by his children, Stephanie Molenda (Jeff) & Stephen Harris (Stefanie).
Grandpa (Papa Pony) of Joshua, Sara, Emily & William.
Brother of Janet Wilton (Mike).
Dear companion of Naida Van Dyken.
Missed dearly by his furry friend, Charlie.
Phil retired after 30 years of Service with Active Canada as a Truck Driver delivering new transport trucks all over Canada. Phil was an excellent provider of his family and always prided himself for never missing a day of work and was accident free. He was an avid hunter, often traveling to Manitoulin Island. Phil enjoyed spending time on the lake, fishing, boating and spending summers at Summer Place Marina in Rondeau Park. He took great pride in taking care of his property and landscaping. He enjoyed road trips on his Harley Davidson. Phil will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Doctors & Nurses of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, 2nd & 4th Floors, for their excellent care and compassion.
Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 12:00 pm until a Celebration of Phil’s Life at 1:00 pm. Cremation has taken place.
In memory of Phil, memorial donations may be made to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation or to a charity of choice.
