Our dad Pete was a police officer for over 30 years. He was a great provider for his family and took on odd jobs like brick laying, plastering and painting. He loved to hunt, fish, golf, play cards, cooking, and cleaning his vehicle with Turtle Wax and Armorall and Happy Hour in his garage everyday at 3pm. He loved all animals and loved taking care of Buddy.
He had a great sense of humor and loved making others laugh. With his infectious smile and quick wit, he was always joking around and teasing those around him. Following his retirement, he volunteered at the Lords Kitchen. The women put him to work as the Pot Washer. He was always available to help family or friends in need. He was also a Team member with our mom for the Marriage Encounter.
We would like to thank the staff at the Golden Manor, especially RNs Collin and Tiffany, RPNs Carol (you were his favourite), Sasha, Meagan and Ginette (glad it was you that day), PSWs Darlene (you were his favourite PSW – he met his match with you), Cynthia, Alama, and Kelly and can’t forget his kitchen helper Anna.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 11am at St. Anthony of Padua Cathedral. Cremation to follow. A luncheon will be held in the Lessard Reception Centre following the service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre.
