Obituary of Pearl Loraine Tait
Peacefully, on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at her home in Fraserville, at age 86. Pearl leaves to mourn her sons Philip and David and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her children Austin Earl, Marjorie, Richard, and Peter James.
Pearl loved nature and enjoyed spending time in Cullen Gardens before its closing in 2005. Pearl worked as a house cleaner at various homes and at the Scugog Shores Museum on Scugog Island, and she provided child care for many years before retiring in her 70’s. For several families, she was the main childcare provider for 3 generations. Pearl was a longtime member of The Jehovah’s Witness, and enjoyed volunteering her time at Prince Albert, R.H. Cornish, and Raglan Public Schools. Always welcoming, Pearl offered anyone who stopped by her home, a coffee and a snack. She also had many pen pals all over the world.
A special thank you to Dr. Moran, nurses, PSW’s and the Care Mobile who provided much care and support to our mother.
