Pauline Elinor Joyce
1930-2025
It is with sadness
that we announce that Pauline passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025
at the age of 94.
A long-time resident
of Canning, she was a member of the Canning Baptist Church, and its
choir, and an involved member of the community. Pauline supported her
family in all their endeavours, and she will be remembered as a kind
and steadfast confidante to her many friends and extended
family.
She had the
opportunity to travel widely over the years, including to Austria and
Nashville, and she made numerous trips to western Canada. Pauline was
a talented singer and pianist who enjoyed playing piano at home and,
later in life, with her uncle Everett on the
“fiddle” at various seniors homes.
Her ability to
calculate and her success with puzzles were well known, as was her
consistent winning at cribbage. She was an excellent and creative cook
who took great pride in preparing various delicacies for family,
friends, neighbours, and community bake sales.
A family service will
be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Pauline may be made to
the Canning District Volunteer Fire Department.
